Who writes this

Ryan Gillum, MD, is a country doctor in the mountains of Colorado, with a long interest in international health and in what new technology does to the practice of medicine.

He follows AI in medicine for three reasons: to know what it will do to the patients in front of him; to see whether it can widen access to care, in mountain towns like his and in the resource-poor places, rural and abroad, that have never had enough physicians; and to understand what it is doing to the profession itself.

Outside of work he spends his time with his wife climbing mountains, skiing, mountain biking and fly fishing, usually with their golden retriever close by.
