Where the plan names technology
California's plan has a Rural Health Technology & Tools Initiative that may include "modernizing EHR systems, practice management, screening tools, and population health systems," and says projects will "improve health information exchange, strengthen cybersecurity, and invest in emerging technologies." The plan does not name AI. The state's EHR Modernization grant guide says "A strong rationale includes innovative approaches such as enabling AI-assisted care, population health management, patient engagement, staff efficiency, revenue cycle improvement, or QHIO/HIE/national network connectivity."
