- Rhode Island's plan includes a Rural HIT Modernization Program built around "a state-sponsored EHR solution designed for rural providers" and a rural HIT infrastructure grant fund, from which providers may request "telehealth equipment, remote monitoring devices" and, under "innovation and AI grants," tools "such as scribe software." Through the fund, providers will be eligible to apply for funding to "explore and implement responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI), such as for clinical documentation, decision support, or administrative efficiency."

- The state's procurement table, "last updated on October 9th, 2026," still lists the Rural Community Health Networks round (due Aug. 30) as "Open" and the Behavioral Health Stabilization Unit (due Sept. 26) as "Open for applications"; both deadlines have passed. It marks the HIT infrastructure fund administrator and the Recovery Community Centers rounds "Awarded" without naming recipients or amounts. The application pages for the two behavioral health rounds could not be read for this tracker. No state announcement of the career and technical education awards was found; the award entry rests on CMS's release.
